Burton Dassett Parish Council
The Parish Council is made up of elected and (sometimes) co-opted parishioners and is responsible for an ever-increasing array of local services. It meets at 7.15pm on the third Monday of every second month (January, March, May, July, September and November). Venues alternate between Burton Dassett (Northend) Village Hall, Knightcote Village Hall and Temple Herdewyke School. Councillors are bound by the SDC Code of Conduct.
In order to maintain the local services for which it is responsible, the Parish Council sets a Precept or Parish Rate which is collected as part of parishioners’ Council Tax.

Burton Dassett Parish Plan
Burton Dassett Parish Council is keen to progress the preparation of a Parish Plan which takes into account the conclusions of the recent Housing Needs Survey and the Village Design Statements for both Knightcote and Burton Dassett.
The Parish Plan is intended to reflect parishioners views on how they want the parish to develop. Consequently, it is very important that people within the parish make their views known.
We need several volunteers to get involved with the compilation of the Plan. Some people have already put their names forward, but more are needed. Anyone wanting to know more should contact the Parish Council Chairman – for contact details see the Council Contacts page.
